2018 Christmas Gift Guide for the Productive Christian in Your Life

Start listening

Maybe you’ve got a productive Christian in your life or just want to get a little something for yourself. I’ve put together a list of several products and books that will put a twinkle in the eye of any believer with a penchant for productivity.

1. Kindle Paperwhite

Any productivity oriented person is going to read a lot of books. While I still prefer to read physical books, I do own a Kindle. I use it for new releases or fiction books which I suspect won’t necessarily warrant a position on my bookshelf.

What’s cool about the newest Kindle Paperwhite is that you can listen to audible audio books on it as well. This is the ultimate combination for the digital bibliophile. Get this for the book lover in your life and watch their face light up like your hideous LED covered Christmas tree.

2. Wiztem Book Stand

I’m a big fan of book stands, especially if you like to take notes on what you’re reading. Book stands are especially valuable for pastors as they look through commentaries. I’ve written before on the value of book stands. And I’ve written a full review of my favorite line of book stands. I own two Wiztem book stands and think they would make an awesome gift this Christmas.

3. Reset by David Murray

This is a great gift for any Christian, but especially valuable for loved ones in ministry. David Murray offers excellent advice for Christians on the edge of burnout. I’ve mentioned it before in regard to the need to incorporate rest into our productivity strategies.

4. How to Get Unstuck by Matt Perman

Matt’s a Christian productivity guru and his 2018 book has been a great source of encouragement and instruction to me. Anyone interested in a more Christian approach to productivity will be well served by this book.

5. Steady Stand Stand-up Desk

Stand up desks have become very popular in the last few years. There are clear health and energy benefits to using one, but cost and aesthetic were barriers to me wanting to try them. I’ve been using a Steady Stand Desk for the past six months or so and have been really happy with it.

It’s pretty affordable for a standing desk ($179 on Amazon as I’m writing this). It just sits on top of your existing desk, which means you don’t have to change your existing setup or deal with not having any storage. If your productive loved one has been whining about getting a stand up desk for a while, this would make a great gift.

Conclusion

Those are my gift recommendations for Christmas 2018. Let me know in the comments what you would add to the list.
